I missed out on Black Friday and Cyber MondayMad and now I'm looking for a $500-$600 range gaming PC.

When are the next big sales coming?

Check on SD for parts deals and build it yourself. I wouldn't say there is any real specific time for computers to drop that greatly in price.

I am in the same boat, my comp is dying a slow death (an 8 years old i7-920 on ASUS P6T board with R7850 GPU). Seriously considering HP Omen 880 from Microcenter 8700K + 1080 ti for 2K. Any other suggestions for a rig in that price range? And no, I don't want to build one.

Best Buy has some PC with 1080 card for around 1700, forgot the cpu spec but I think it's i7 7700. I bought a Asus rog g20, i7 6700, 16gig ram, 1070 At beginning of 2017 for 1200.

I was hoping for some deals to pop up around this time while, or after, CES 2018 is going on. Have not seen anything spectacular yet but maybe this weekend will be a better bet.

Other than that, MLK Day is also this Monday, that's a good sales day for some retailers, and the Super Bowls a great weekend for TV sales, maybe some laptops/desktops will piggyback those sales.

August/September back to school sales and Black Friday/Cyber Monday/Holiday season is typically the best time to find great deals on laptops/desktops

Can't even buy a 1080 right now. I'd build one myself but with the latest memory and GPU price surge it's better to buy one built. I'm looking at MainGear and can't believe it's only a hundred or so more than building myself and they have 1080s. Either .we'd to wait this out longer or oull trigger. I've been holding off since last April because of GPU $$$ increase

I feel your guys' pain. I waited all summer and finally bought the dips in September. Was able to snag a Zotac 1070 AMP for $380 on Amazon. Prices now are crazy and I'd really hate being a buyer in this market.

I didn't use a spoiler tag because you just seam to take them for granite. But don't worry old chap, I'm hear to help you. For all intensive purposes, your probably relying on spell check a bit to much. But who knows, maybe this post is a blessing in the skies for other people who make similar mistakes, or maybe it's just a mute point and all for not.

If you really want it price shouldn't matter. I built in July last year. I enjoy my computer everyday. It wasn't worth waiting for me.
