Both American Airlines and United Airlines have round trip airfare travelling to and from Chicago (ORD) and Las Vegas (LAS) for $78 including taxes and fees. This is nonstop service. This is also a basic economy airfare. Basic Economy fare limits carry-on bags to one small personal item, such as a purse or laptop bag. All other baggage must be checked for a fee.

Travel Availability:
Departs ORD: Jan 29, 31; Feb 3, 6, 13, 27
Departs LAS: Jan 22-24, 30; Feb 2, 3, 7, 8, 10, 20, 27
Returns: good availability

Use dates and book it on Orbitz [orbitz.com] or Priceline [priceline.com] to see which airline comes up. Bundling hotel with airfare will save you money.

How do people only travel with 1 personal item? Do they bring they're own bags and get charged for them?

airlines are down there with cable companies for worst of the worst. i'd be up for gov't takeover of both industries.

imagine a plane ticket hte price of a subway or bus ticket and your cable bill not your highest bill next to your cell bill.

have you never called your cable company? all they do is regurgitate shit from a book without listening to your problem. same with airlines

- Short trips - 1 to 2 days can fit in a small backpack.
- Medium trips - bring old clothes vacuumed sealed, then toss out as you would have anyway.
- Immediate family at the opposite end - no need to bring any clothes.
- Wearable clothing with lots of pockets - blends in well during winter, maybe not summer.
- Mail packages with your necessities - depends on situation, but if you got access to discounted shipments, this may be a cheaper and less hassle of a way to get your stuff across.

Well since it is to Vegas you just need a change of underwear and some Trojanz..but for other trips I can get 2 or 3 days worth of clothing(casual) in a standard backpack(personal item). We have taken other bags in to and never been charged, i guess it just depends.
