In for one. I just had my second keurig in two years break, so I guess it's time to throw that out and become a coffee snob. This looks like a good deal.

Not a burr grinder, but good enough for me.

But why not the Krups? https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B0000...B06XXB8BTY. Excellent grinder and reliable and cheaper as well.

I'd love to see an honest blind taste test published between burr and blade. I have both and can't tell a difference.

In my opinion, it is not the taste but the consistency and reliability

Good timing. I've just read that the grinders at grocery stores are carrying harmful bacteria.

My blade grinder has been reliable for many years. It's actually sold as a spice grinder. I rarely ever use my burr grinder. If the end result (taste) is the same, why spend 10x more on a burr grinder? I was expecting a difference which is why I bought mine.

Exactly. Blade grinders cannot replicate the consistency. Burr grinders can also help you determine which grind you like best and reproduce it each time.

Great grinder, bought one for ~11 back in 2014 for grinding black pepper and still going strong. Just bought GX5000 burr model for my wife for black sesame laugh out loud

Why is this a deal? There are plenty on Amazon that look exactly like this for less (obviously same China manufacturer) and others that show as higher watt.
Or, there are also name brands, like KitchenAid for less: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/...B00004SPEU

and, identical product, different seller, for cheaper: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B074HVV4H4?psc=1

Because these are paid posts, like most posts for generic China products that have "promo codes".

The only reason for more precise grinding is using something different than a drip pot. Pour overs and espresso require precise grinds to manage speed of water flow. It also helps with French press to avoid as much stuff falling through the press. If you are using a drip pot I doubt there would be much of a difference.
