I was hesitant on the refurbished version that was recently posted and came across this new one instead.

Got the refurb deal a few days ago, used this guide to reflash it to the Asus firmware http://www.bayareatechpros.com/ac1900-to-ac68u/
Wasn't too hard of a process, took about 30 minutes maybe

The $60 I see on Amazon are refurbs. Also, no tax on newegg.

Got 3 of the refurbs running aimesh and they are running great. I wouldn't hesitate to buy a new one at this price.

Does not seem to indicate whether it is the 800MHz CPU version or the faster version (1 GHz I believe).

I cannot believe that everyone who would want to flash this to a ac68u doesn't already have one. I have two but I guess there are still people out there. I think the TPARCHERC5V1 Archer C5 AC1200 is a better bet these days as you can upgrade the speed on that for free for about the same price if on sale. Note, must be version 1.

I believe there is no difference just some are clocked higher.

Does anyone know if these can be used with Asus recently announced AiMesh? I can't find an answer for the T-Mobile version.
