Select Walmart Stores/B&M [Store Locator [walmart.com]] has Butterball / Masterbuilt XL Turkey Fryer w/ 20-lb. capacity on clearance for $54 valid for In-Store Purchase Only (YMMV).

Close to all-time low price, if camelcamelcamel and forums search are any indication.

Both stainless steel and red versions appear to be available at this price.

My parents want a gas turkey thing. Does anyone know if those are on clearance?
Didn't see any propane fryers on sale, alas. There was also a Butterball infrared "fryer" / roaster for sale at $19, covered by another thread, but it sounds like that one doesn't generate the heat necessary to get a good "fry" going.

I'm waiting for a propane fryer as well, didn't even go look at the previous electric one, can't understand spending so much on oil for this one.
Definitely an expense, although it "only" uses about 2 gallons per fry.

I saw these on clearance at home Depot too.. though not as cheap... What's going on? Why are retailers eager to unload inventory on these?

My local target has these for $37.xx on clearance right now. Thought about picking one up but didn't realize about needing so much oil.
