It's not here yet and no current devices support it. Besides, my HDMI 1.4 and 2.0 devices won't magically update themselves to 2.1.

Grabbed 3 for the kids and their electronics.. kinda upset newegg started charging tax on Pennsylvania residents who make purchases. Luckily I never renewed my premier with them.

Just FYI, the HDMI spec on some devices can be updated to 2.1 if they are capable of meeting requirements and the manufacturer cares to do so.

To all those on the fence because of HDMI 2.1 spec around the corner: when your media player and TV both support 8K resolution buy a new cable. Until then, having a drawer full of these will be handy.
