This can easily do 200, but I upgraded to 400Mbits and this couldn't hit the 300 mark. After about a month later I upgraded to a 32 channel and now I can easily do 400 and sometimes higher.

I'm still kicking myself for not getting the refurb sb6183 for $30. It's normal refurb sale price is $40 so I'm holding out.

Anyone have experience with these refurbished? I saw a bunch of reviews where they crapped out after a few months.

Just got rid of my 6141.. it tops out at 100mbps. Bought the C6900 netgear from Costco.. now my speed is 187. Same thing as the C7000. All in one but working great!

Thanks for pointing me in this direction. I have Comcast and want to get rid of the monthly modem/router fee and this looks like it's just what I need to accomplish that.

I'm cool with 100mbps. I only have 25mbps anyway. I just need one that can do wifi too.

Last time I got a refeb and Comcast said they can't activate it. They said it was still registered on the previous user who I must contact them to take off their system.

Yea I got the white sb6183 for $35 from Amazon Warehouse in Very Good condition on Dec 14th. It looked brand new and works great. I'd love to have gotten it for $30 or even $20.

I am in Houston and I had this modem for the last year (and it worked great), but 3 months ago Xfinity stopped supporting it for me. Constantly lost connection. Have since upgraded. Just FYI.
