These should not be labeled "detail" brush in my opinion. These are like sharp plastic brushes, which are more for scrubbing. Not worth free in my opinion.

I have to kindly disagree. These are specifically for detailing. They can help to get leftover wax out of crevices like around door handles that most people leave behind. Put some conditioner on your leather seats and use these to remove grime that gets stuck in the seat creases. These are just a few examples. All details, hence detailing brushes. I would not use these though for cleaning or applying protectants (like Armor All) to AC vents. Your standard soft bristle paint brushes work best for that, IMO. I detailed cars for a local garage/dealership for many years so I am familiar with these tools. These look like glorified tooth brushes but I can tell you that they don't do the same job. Hope this helps.

Having said all this, this price seems to be average for these brushes according to CCC.

These would be harsh to use on your leather seats, even with a layer of conditioner. If you used the on your door handles and whatnot you would easily cause clear coat scratches. A clean microfiber with some cleaner and attention would do a far better job than these brushes and cause less damage.

These brushes have extra-soft, scratch-free bristles. I agree with you about the microfiber cloths.
