It's been 44.95 for a long time. Many SDers reported that DailySteal was selling used headset instead of new ones in that "deal". I almost got sucked into it.

Correct - it dropped to this price in early December (during the DailySteals deal); then increased to $68 again after about a week.

It's now on sale again (lowest recorded price on Camel). Hope this helps for anyone interested.

I rather buy it here for $5 more than the slickdeals where almost every unit looks and performs as if they fell off a truck (if they were not in someone elses ear).

As an aside if you are looking for a bluetooth headset you should check bestbuy.com. many of the headsets qualify as accessories. Of you buy three accessories you get 25% off all three of them. If you look around you can make out better than ok. Especially if you are looking for the higher end headsets. Yeah you end up overpaying for a vent clip or something but you can actually get everything for under the price of the high end headset alone.

with that said I had a parrot 250bt. it was great for loud noises but if someone is talking in the next room the listener can hear them. i would just go with something like this if I needed a headset again and not try the high end again for canceling 'the most' noise. none of them can distinguish from your voice and someone elses no matter what distance away from the mic they are.

Any first-hand opinions on whether this headset is still good compared to the newer ones on the market? It's a pretty old Bluetooth 3.0 model. I'm looking for one that'll perform well in the car or out walking around. Thanks in advance for any feedback.

I bought the Plantronics Edge a few months ago and it is a pain in the ass. It disconnects a lot. Also, the charging case thing was dead out of the box. I used to use the Voyager Legend UC for work and they were pretty rock solid.

This is the best headset I've ever owned. Amazing in the wind whilst riding my bike (even against 20MPH headwinds) and the noise cancellation lets carry on a conversation whilst running the blender 3 feet away.

Great headset, but do yourself a favor and buy the version with the case. In addition to doing a good job of protecting it when not in use, the case charges it (the case has it's own built-in battery, so charges the headset even when the case isn't connected to a power source)

Plus without the case you need to use a custom charge cable, whereas the case has a standard microusb socket.

If you want to go even higher, there's a UC model which includes the case and a Bluetooth USB module which is permanently paired to the headset. Great if you use it frequently with your computer like I do.
