10oz tenderloin (less because the bacon has some weight)
10 oz sirloin
24 oz ground beef

for $50?

And this is SLICK DEALS?

I don't know what grade meat Omaha uses but given these are frozen and not fresh I'd be surprised if it were great. That's like $6.24 in tenderloin, $5 in sirloin, and $5 in ground beef for $50. And that's not even at sale prices.

Chef here- do not buy Omaha steaks. They're the Hickory Farms of meat. Mid-grade steaks for exorbitant prices.

If you want excellent cuts for a decent price, Costco is hard to beat.

Retired Butcher Here 30 + years

Lets do the math ( It's is always important to do the math )

10 oz Bacon-Wrapped Filet Mignons
10 oz Top Sirloin
24 oz Ground Beef

10 + 10 + 24 = 44 oz divided by $50 = $18.18 per pound.

So $18.18 per pound for ground beef ?
And $18.18 per for top sirloin ?

Is this fresh meat or frozen meat ?

Is this USDA Choice Beef ? Or is it USDA Prime Beef ? Or just USDA select beef ? I really want to know. ( So many questions not answered )

Last week Costco had Fresh Not Frozen USDA PRIME New York Straks for only $9.99 per pound ( USDA Prime is the top grade most stores do not carry it )

At my local supermarket I can get 6 lb of ground beef for $18.00
Math $3.00 lb x 6 lb = $18.00

Worst steaks I have ever eaten. It's truly baffling how this company still stays in business. You have to figure that most people have had a good steak at some point in their life and should be able to judge how bad these are.

this thread is very enjoyable to read today for some reason. i was hoping to read some substantive railing on bad steak Smilie

agree with all the opinions--i buy my steaks from costco. chicken, however, i get from a local butcher in a fancier neighborhood (which is not where i live)
