Last good deal here I found was 2013, and some great resources there on how to use flax oil: https://slickdeals.net/e/6322872-add-on-item-flax-oil-16-oz-cold-pressed-for-2?src=SiteSearchV2_SearchBarV2Algo1

Good price for the oil if you already use this as a supplement. Just remember, it's high in calories just like every other oil.

As for seasoning, Lodge Manufacturing uses soybean vegetable oil. I do too, and it's about one eighth the price of flax oil!

Technically you can use any oil to season the Lodge ones?

Also how can I make the Lodge cast iron pan from sticking?

Do this then season it with the oil of your choice.

And no offense but the Lodge factory seasoning is great for preventing rust but absolutely horrid for a hard non-stick surface. Do the egg test on a soybean vegetable oil seasoned pan vs flax and lmk. First thing you do when getting a new Lodge pan, is re-season it Wink After decades of cast iron use on more than a dozen pieces in my collection, I use Flax Oil over all others tested. But to each their own, there is always a cheaper solution that works almost just as good...

Edit: Also for all interested, deal is expired and I've flagged for mods Smilie

How well does hempseed oil perform as a seasoning agent?
