Help: Domain name and web hosting deal

2,548 869 January 8, 2018 at 11:21 AM
Currently, this non-for-profit I help uses WordPress for their blog. They pay $18 a year to remove WordPress from the domain name. I am looking to help them move away from WordPress to have more flexibility with design and features. What would you recommend they use that would cost the least and still be reliable?

This is what they have on their website:
  • A short about page.
  • A few testimonials about the school.
  • A page of embedded youtube videos.
  • Contact page
  • A photo gallery
  • A donate page, which is just a paypal button.

GreenGeeks, best of them all. I have tried a lot. NO AIG. AIG is a monopoly.

You can't get much more flexible than WordPress, the self installed version.

For domain names just search GoDaddy 99 cent coupon. You can get a domain for 99 cents.

For hosting the best place I've found is going through the offers at http://www.webhostingtalk.com/for...ay.php?f=4 .

You can also try https://sharewareonsale.com/s/arc...5-discount . It's lifetime hosting and one year of domain name for $25. Personally I don't trust lifetime hosting companies but you can't beat the price.
