I've noticed that the coupon is for one purchase per customer. After purchasing this USG with this coupon, the coupon did not work a second time for the 8 port switch.

Worked as well for me using a different address. Good thing I own my own domain name and can set *@myemail.com to go to me Smilie.

The below statements are based on my personal experiences.

Just a heads up about this device. If you're looking for a router with a nice GUI to handle multiple WAN IPs, changing outbound NAT rules, etc., this is NOT that device. It can do it but you have to edit config.json files, test for syntax errors, etc., before it takes hold. This is an odd device in that it is called "enterprise" but tries to straddle the line of config files and GUIs.

If you want something that is relatively easy to configure for anything you may throw at it, use pfSense and buy a dedicated appliance through Netgate.

Cool story bro, but it doesn't make you special.

Anyone can use gmail to similar effect: name+coupon1@gmail.com, name+coupon2@gmail.com,... , name+coupon9487277478922@gmail.com

How about the ER-X? One third of the cost of the SG-1000.

What's the recommendation for those with a unifi ap? I wish they would bring back the airRouter, mine is still running with the original config I put on it back in 2014 but need more overhead. Was planning on replacing the 3 original unifi ap with the new ap pro but conflicted between edgerouter and usg. I need security, stability, and no babysitting.

I don't have experience with the EdgeRouter line as I try to stick with pfSense. I prefer Ubiquiti equipment for everything else, however.
