Just hooked it up last week. Works pretty well and pair up with Alexa. Still trying to figure out how much it can do with kodi but it looks like I'll need an IR adapter for my pi. Fios stb works great though.

There's nothing better in this price range. The only thing I hate is that the keys aren't backlit so you'll do a lot of fiddling in a dark bedroom. Other than that, it's working fine for me and the smartphone app works fine. Once the hub is setup, you don't have to mess with it unless you have to add more devices.

Plenty of these in Wal-Mart around me at this same price. We have a dedicated post on SD.

Same price @ select Walmart stores in store or with pickup discount.

Yep, that's where I got mine last week. I'd have preferred to purchase from Amazon, which would've been more palatable than setting foot in WM.

I set up the basic functionality, and I'm mostly happy with it...although I think I need to tweak some things. My components are laid out in such a way that I think I need a 2nd IR blaster in order to send all signals consistently. And the Alexa integration isn't working very well for me...Alexa can turn the TV on or off, but can't seem to tune to my "favorite" stations. Also, I still have to figure out how to get her to turn on the Sonos.

But setting up and controlling my core components (TV, DVR, Xbox, soundbar) was pretty easy/painless. Just have to do some fiddling to get everything the way I want it.

Between this and 650, what's the difference and which one is better?

Just bought this yesterday at Walmart after almost buying on Amazon for $69.99.
I was able to get it for $35 by price matching to another Walmart store, YMMV on that though.

650 has no hub

This has a hub which allows for home automation integration.

Frankly I think the 650 as a remote is superior because of backlight and thus despite having everything in my house zwave and owning 10 echos and 10 Google homes, I don't own any harmony hubs because the benefit of the integration is so trivial vs simply hitting a single button on a remote to watch tv vs using my voice. Not to mention the remote is typically an ongoing active usage of flipping channels up and down and it's quicker to use my finger than to voice prompt for such things.

Would love to hear opinion that contradict this though as maybe I'm missing something

I have two of them purchased at this price. One in my living room controlling A Sony TV, Sony Home theater, Xbox One, Nvidia Shield, Apple TV, PS4(will not power on PS4) Alienware Alpha that I use as HTPC (wil not power on the PC) I have 6 activities programmed on the remote

Watch TV (watch OTA TV)
Nvidia Shield TV
Watch Apple TV
Alpha (HTPC)
Xbox One
Playstation 4

2nd unit located n Bedroom,
Controlling Samsung TV
Vizio Soundbar
MI BOX
1st gen FireTV

Takes some time to setup, but I think it's worth it, as long a the hub and IR blaster are placed correctly, it should work perfectly. Remote does not need line of sight.

I have always had Harmony Remotes in the past, 880, 720, Harmony One, 650, & 700. I like this one the a lot

I have the app installed on an IPAD mini and my phone.

If you have patience and like to tinker with this kind of stuff, go for it.
