Optoma UHD60 DLP Projector, 2160p, HDTV, 16:9 (UHD60) $1499

$1,499.00
+11 Deal Score

What? Bestbuy just slashed the Optoma UHD60 4K Home Theater Projector prices to $1499 which included free shipping.

Why? This price is the lowest I have seen since BF. Other sites have offered a refurbished version for lowest of $1474. Hence, $1499 for a new version doesn't sound bad.

Are you sure? According to urlhasbeenblocked the mentioned price is really the lowest since it's launch. See below:

Its only been dropped this low because the BenQ HT2550 was revealed to be $1499 as opposed to the estimated $1999 everyone thought it was going to be. I'm still holding out for hands on real world reviews for the HT2550 and UHD65.

They cost thousands more because they're native 4k projectors. These sub-$2K projectors utilize pixel shift technology. Whether or not that makes a difference is up to the end buyer.

Regular price as of 9 Jan, 2018 is $1799 across major sites. It was $1999 about a week ago.

They just announced the new UHD50 that will used the same TI DLP chip as the uhd65 that is native 4k. Supposed to come out soon along with the Benq ht2550. The 50 is short throw though with only a 1.3x zoom. Think the other are almost 2. Native 4k should be dropping in price a lot by this summer I would imagine. Hopefully Sony will drop in price.

The info sheet shows a 3d button on the uhd50 remote as well- and mentions 3d in fine print. But I wouldn't take it having 3d to the bank yet.

If i'm not mistaken this optoma uses a 0.67 4k xpr dmd which should offer better detail and contrast than the smaller 0.47 dmd which the upcoming benq 2550 uses and the optoma uhd50 uses

however this optoma projector uses an RGBCY color wheel which is inferior to the RGBRGB color wheel which all of the previously mentioned projectors use.

i still think its a great deal since there are many user reviews backing that up. of course, it won't hurt to wait for the benq 2550 which releases in less than a week

Ya only bad thing about this deal is the UHD65 is a much better projector lol

Incredible deal though, if it was $1,000 id skip waiting for UHD65 and get this 😁

63ms input lag for anyone wondering about gaming on this. I find anything below 30ms tolerable and I also think I have a large tolerance to some lag. 63ms would be a no go for me.
