OP, thank you for sharing.

Remember, in the title of your post, you should have:

Manufacturer, Product, Merchant, Price, and porbably some deal attributes.

The only think you're missing is the merchant. (In this case, Costco)

Your post might be better titled as 'LG 27UD59-B 27" Ultra HD IPS 4K Freesync Monitor $299 @ Costco'

The body of your post is generally fine, though you missed putting a link to the product in.

https://www.costco.com/LG-27UD59-...86158.html

Remember that you can edit your post.

This seems like a good price as the next best price I can find is $359 from B&H.

Refresh rate is lower at 60 Hz- would have considered it anyhow but it's sold out now.

For anyone comparing this between the Samsung 4k monitor.

I have this: https://www.costco.com/Samsung-28...93526.html

And this: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/lg-2...Id=5770300

Note: the LG linked above is not the same as this slickdeal, but very similar. I think the only difference might be bezel width, but don't quote me on that.

I can't really decide which I like better. I like the size (28") of the Samsung, but it has a noticeable viewing angle problem, especially with the darks/blacks toward the bottom of the screen when looking at it head on. However, it is brighter than the 27" LG. The only thing better about the LG is the colors, which do seem to be noticeably warmer, nicer, or more believable when it comes to viewing people (e.g. movies/photos, etc.).

I'm not a gamer, so I can't compare performance. I've tried using both as my main monitor and I do like the 28" size bettter than the 27", but I couldn't recommend one over the other. After these two, I might step up to a 32" BenQ refurbished HDR IPS Adobe RGB panel.

just got this delivered yesterday. the stand is not adjustable. apparently that is what the model number indicates.
According to the included quick start guide:
27UD59 is the non adjustable stand, 27UD59P is for the adjustable stand.

Otherwise the monitor is really nice. Had to download drivers for my windows 10 box before the monitor properly worked.. i would recommend doing that before switching out this monitor.
My macbook worked fine with the hdmi input.

Is that to enable the HDR? I've never had to use a driver for a monitor...aren't they mostly just plug and play?

Just a head's up that you can also usually find the 32" version of this monitor for around $100 more, I paid $390 with a $25 off $250 coupon back in October. The stand on the 32" is adjustable as well.
I like the monitor but I only use it for the Xbone X. If you do end up getting this make sure you set the Black Stabilizer to 0 and Black level to low, I missed this setting initially and it looks much better with the black stabilizer turned down (default is 100 I believe).
