5.5lb Myprotein Impact Whey Protein + 2.2lb Casein for $40 + Free Shipping with code WHEYCAS
I always recommend unflavored since you can add your own flavors and change up the taste. I prefer using peanut butter, cocoa powder, oatmeals, strawberries, etc since I use a blender when making my shakes.

Horrible customer service, received my 3 bags today. One was open and spilled all over the box. Contacted customer service and was told I need to pay to have it shipped back and that there was no other option. I would suggest taking your business elsewhere.

OP has Isolate linked in the deal. That does not qualify for the deal.

Add a 5.5 bag of this Impact Whey [myprotein.com]

For the Casein protein - unflavored,
Per 100g,
there is 80g of protein,
6g of carbs
1.5g of fat.

What is the other 12.5 grams?

Called my credit card company to get a refund on the damaged one. The myprotein rep claimed they would never send a product that was damaged. It's unfortunate that they treat customers like criminals, all I wanted was to ship it back and receive an exchange. Accidents happen but it's how a company reacts that can make a potential life long customer into an advocate to warn others. Hopefully everyone else receives their products intact.

Noob question, but is casein beneficial? What's the intake or dosage recommendation.

casein is a slower digested protein, usually used before bedtime (in the weightlifting world). i used to use this stuff, but stopped after getting fed up with the stuff not mixing as well as whey/etc (i only use shaker bottles, don't have time/interest in blenders to make more shit to clean up).

These days I just eat 3 servings of low fat cottage cheese before bed, i've always liked the taste, and the price is cheap anyway for the generic. Plus your protein should come from 'real' stuff more than powders as much as possible. If weightlifting/muscle gain is your goal, focus on foods, and not powders.

I only use whey in my morning pre-workout/breakfast (4 cups of coffee, scoop of whey, shot of milk, blender bottle and chug as I walk the dog before my workout).

as for dosage, for casein/whey, 'typically' a scoop is a sufficient ballpark dose for everyone. i.e. between 25-30g of protein in a shake/whatever.

i know that in whey protein, ash (minerals) and moisture can add up to 10% of content. casein does have higher ash count (especially calcium) so that might explain why. although, MP has had several hiccups when it comes to labeling so i wouldn't completely trust what they say...

a lot of people take casein pre-bed for its anti-catabolic/proteolytic (slow digesting) properties and while it is absolutely fine to do so, body protein loss does not occur during the 8 hours of sleep. and while everyone is obsessed with manipulating muscle protein synthesis and elevating blood aminos, the more important factor is overall daily protein intake.

Agree. Ordered the 16lb protein deal last week and still waiting. Seems like the printed the label but forgot to take it to the post office as it took 4 Days to have any status update.

MyProtein used to be good. Shipping would take about 5 days and the quality was good. However, shipping now takes about two weeks and the packages arrive damaged more often than not. The last time I ordered, my package spent 10 days in Las Vegas when It takes four hours to get to California! I also feel like their quality has gone down as It makes me bloated and gives me the typical protein burps. This maybe my own stomach but ON doesn't make me feel the same way. Went back to ON. Costco sometimes drops the price by $20 and that's the time to stock up. Anyways, moral of the story is order at your own risk.
