The problem with these cheap wifi outlet devices is that you have to install the crappy vendor app to setup and configure. I dunno if ppl are buying all these cheap ones and running 4-5 apps to operate them. Granted it's mostly set it and forget it type as well as once you integrate to alexa or goog assist, i guess you rarely need to open the app.

I used the TP-link versions with google home/assistant for Xmas lights and to "Ok Google turn on RudolphNose" handy devices.
