From Newegg:
-USB 3.0 High-Speed Transmission Interface
-Easy Thumb Activated Capless Design
-Graceful and Minimalist Design

Claims "read speeds as high as 90MBps, and write speeds up to 40MBps" which I seem to get pretty close to.

Just saw this combo deal on three flash drives and thought I'd share it. I own some of these already and they work great and are pretty fast. The thumb pullout design seems flimsy at first, but its pretty solid once you get the hang of it. I lose mine all the time, so the more flash drives the merrier.

Thanks, ordered, but I have to wonder why these aren't coming down in price. I feel like I paid the same price for this exact item a couple of years ago.

ETA: nope, I was wrong, I actually paid less. In August 2016 I paid $10 for three of these, also from Newegg. What's up with that?

Lol, I was about to order as well just to have a few spares for OS re-installations. However, after hearing that you paid less for these, I'm in no hurry to order if there are better prices to be had in the future and I'm not in any needs for some 16gb usb drives right now.

I've noticed that too, but I think it will be a while before we see them drop that low again.
They used to give away these other ones for free over 3 years ago, yet they're still going for 7 bucks each: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA12K11S3818&cm_re=kingston_16gb_usb2-_-20-239-00... [newegg.com]

I think flash drives hold their value like gold haha.

Well, I needed some, so I'm not going to quibble over 5 bucks. But I'm not going to stock up on extras either.

BTW, I've found these usable but not overly fast. In fact, I initially tried to use one as the system drive for an Openmediavault [openmediavault.org] NAS, but the configuration screens' response times were so poor I decided to use an old SSD I had lying around instead. Maybe for streaming large files it's better; I usually use these for operating system boot images - so generally write once and then read only.

Same here. Mostly VMware installs and sometimes Windows. Way faster than DVDs thats for sure.

Price fixing. Profits to be made manufactures all agree to set price standards for flash memory including ssd

i bought them in packs of 3. there was 1 pack where all 3 died upon 1st use -they werent recognized by any PCs i had. since it was out of 30 days, i had to contact a-data for rma. their aftersale support was pretty painless and decent. my experience using a-data (flash drives, sd cards, ssds) products for like almost 20 years they were never known to be fast or the fastest, but relatively cheap.

Miners use them to put their linux or windows to USB on for their rigs instead of buying ssds for 4x the price.

These are poor quality. I had one just stop reading after 2 days of light usage.
