First thing I thought.

However the Function keys and anti ghosting are very important to gamers.

Also without a gamer trying this keyboard difficult to know it is not good for that. Function keys are useful to others as well.

So depends on what you want and if you want full sized keys.

What are some high profile keyboards for gaming? Genuinely curious. Planning on getting into PC in a couple months but I'm out of the loop on "what's what".

They sell this at Amazon for $40. The reviews are mixed. Many complain the software for the function keys problematic requiring you to unplug then plug the keyboard back in to make it work.

Also there is little feel to the keys so difficult to feel which key is which. Although gamers said it worked well for them but did not feel all that sturdy and one complained the key letters were wearing off after only a month.

Just a heads up... I have had a lot of trouble going back and forth from my work keyboard to this keyboard at night. I think due to the size and layout of this APEX keyboard.

Mech boards are generally what people use.

Looks like a decent keyboard. Back lighting is a plus.

Solid keyboard. I used one for a year that I got from woot, never had a single issue. Color customization is nice, keystrokes are nice as well. Meh deal. I got a second of Amazon that was certified refurbished from manufacturer to keep as a backup for 20.

This thing looks like it would be absolute trash for gaming. This would be good for grandma to check her e-mails, and that's about it.

Had this keyboard - just used it for daily use - and it was horrible.

First off, when they say low-profile, the keys bottom out at such an unbelievably short range. It feels like you're hitting stuck keys honestly. Second, they're not mechanical switches so another downvote for that (especially with there being mechanical keyboards out there now for prices as low as this nowadays.

The macro keys are quick useless too - there are these two keys that let you go diagonally upwards (to the left or to the right). It's so poorly designed that if you're working on excel or something, you can actually see the cell move up and then to the left (or up and to the right) at such a low speed. I doubt it would be helpful for anyone in game.
