What is a Companion Pass? - Friends fly when you do
Companion Pass is the benefit that allows you to choose one person to fly with you, free of airline charges (does not include taxes and fees from $5.60 one-way) every time you purchase or redeem points for a flight. To qualify, simply fly 100 qualifying one-way flights or earn 110,000 qualifying points in a calendar year, and you'll earn Companion Pass for the following full calendar year, plus the remainder of the year in which you earned it.

Seems like a good deal. Trending on r/churning. Now I just need to get the companion pass and a girlfriend am I'm good to go.
the Southwest Companion pass: 110,000 points earned from a Southwest credit card, Southwest flights, or partners in a *calendar year* can earn you Southwest Companion Pass status. That lets you bring a companion along for free (plus taxes) on every Southwest ticket you buy, including award tickets. You earn it for the remainder of the year, as well as the next year. So if you earn Companion Pass early in the year you can have the benefit for almost two full years.
The fastest way to become the CP is sign up for 2 cards (Southwest Rapid Rewards plus, Premier or Premier Business)

Southwest has cheap flights to Vegas... But girls there are rather expensive!

Why do premier when you can do plus? Just asking cause I've done both in the past, but only because plus wasn't available

You do both, so you get the companion pass for this year and next. Great opportunity to get companion pass for almost a full 2 years. Still another year away from being able to get in on this deal again Frown

I wish this was available two weeks ago... Currently binging on a chase sapphire which isn't half as valuable as these two...

You have to wait 24 months to do it again right? That is from the time you cancel the card or from the time you signed up?

Also, do you think i could use my wife's name to get it since we moved?

the best offer in the history (non-business one) is 60000 points? is it right? Trying to see if I should wait for it to come back or just apply one for 50000 points..

Qualify for companion pass at the beginning of the year in January and it would be good until the end of next year
