Costco B&M 48" Whalen workbench - 149.99

Been eyeing this workbench [costco.com] for a while at a regular price of 199.99.
Saw it discounted $50 today and picked it up.

Discounted through 01/28. Seems to be a store-only deal.

They make a tall matching cabinet for Costco as well. If anyone sees it on sale, let me know. Thanks.

Everyone uses these as tv stands. You'd never use this as a workbench.

Actually, that one was also on sale. $250 instead of $300.

I agree. I was interested in this for my workshop when I saw the title, but this is a DECORATIVE work bench, not a functional one.

My buddy bought the larger version of this and uses it fairly often. There's on reason this won't work for small projects. If you want a heavy-duty workbench, anything on wheels is not the answer anyway.

Wish they still had the stainless Trinity workbench/tool chest for $499. I wanted to clear out my garage first but they've since replaced it w their Costco powdercoated workbench.

Just an FYI some costco's don't have it marked correctly but they're able to look up the coupon and adjust the price.

Ps: I'd recommend a truck and a second person to help load.

Yeah, the metal looked pretty thin/weak and I was skeptical how well it would hold up (not rust over time etc). It looks neat tho

The metal is actually very heavy duty and I was shocked at how heavy it is. But the top is WAY too nice to use as a workbench....it would get trashed pretty fast.

Bought this a couple of weeks ago. Used it as a stand for our fish tank in the living room. Had the modern industrial look. Very happy with it. Super sturdy construction. Took receipt back to Costco today for a price adjustment.

According to Whalen, they are coming back with the 72" workbench, but will only be available in a 6 piece set sold at Costco.
