Good enough but not the best, even at $5. There are so many nice fans now with upgraded LEDs, some are super quiet, others push more air with the same noise level.

Are there any that you'd personally recommend? I'm in the market for a new fan as I just had one in my pc go out.

If your motherboard can control fan speed, you can get this one posted here, it's loud on 100% but if you don't care much about specs this fan is a good value.
Or something like this:

Or a couple of these quiet fans:

I'm spoiled now and only use pwm fans. Sucks because there are far less deals for pwm fans.

On a side note a while back I bought a few artic fans for a budget build for my friend and the fans made a ton of vibration noise from within the fan and didn't seem to match the reviews. I contacted Newegg and they told me to take it up with the manufacturer. They said they don't accept returned fans.

I'm guessing it's that they don't have a serial number on them, maybe they had issues with people returning used fans but it's a crappy policy because the manufacturer often charges for shipping even if you received a bad item from Newegg that day.

I've had the red LED version of these in a case for a while now. Very nice color rendition and the noise is fine if used with a fan controller while still maintaining decent CFM.

great case, three of my friends have this with completely different rigs, the flexibitliy is amazing, one thing that they have problems with is water cooling space, but if you are all about radiators then go for it. #RGBNATION

Haven't used them in a while but if you aren't using a fan controller or something then Antec Tricools might be a option. The 3 speed choices come in handy if you decide you want to adjust air flow or noise level

Hard to find a good deal on good fans. But if $$ isn't an issue, I would recommend noctua fans. There's the nf-f15 if you need an SP fan or if you want just AF then go with the nf-12a. No LEDs and are quiet.

Its not just fans. My friend got a DOA mobo a few years back and they pulled the same stuff. Another buddy had a similar issue with another mobo earlier this year. Feel lile one of em had an issue with RAM as well.

Basically newegg doesn't seem to care once they have your money. I used to order from them a lot and then it started to taper down after the first mobo incident my friend had.
