Pixelbook is way overpriced for what it does. If you buy one the joke is on you.

Buy a Chromebook for one thousand freaking dollars and get a free stylus... Gee thanks. What's their next deal, buy a new car and get a free air freshener?

Depends on what you're using it for. It's a great developer laptop, most reviews online aren't technical enough to cover setting up Linux on these with crouton, meaning you can run full desktop programs like Android Studio, Gimp, LibreOffice, etc.

That sure is a lot to pay for a laptop without a real OS.

Amazon has a 10% off for Prime Students as well, including on the i7 one. (For all those complaining about it, how about the $1650 version? Wink)

I can't find a way to combine it with the free pen, though. Frown Reviews on the pen so far have been mixed to bad, not that people hate it necessarily, just that they never seem to use it.

I had a pen for my MS Surface, and never used it. But I was using it as a laptop more so than a tablet.

I use the heck out of my Chromebooks and would love the Pixel but I just can't justify the price. If I had money to burn I'd be typing on one right now.

This is too overpriced but if they have a trade in for my Pixel C (which they discontinued) for $500 then just maybe I'll consider.

The problem with the Chromebook Pixel is that it doesn't do anything better than other laptops or 2-in-1's. The OS is limited. The pen is laggy and not as accurate as the Apple Pencil or Surface Pen according to reviews. There's also scroll lag in Chrome. You could get a full fledged Apple or Windows laptop for the same price and have a more complete experience. It's a fine piece of hardware but just not worth the price for what it can do.
