I have this or at least the previous version of it. I've only needed it a few times but it has performed well at long as you don't have high demands. I removed 6 inches of snow from my driveway pretty easily. I think this is best for someone like me who may need a snow thrower a couple times a year to remove a few inches off the driveway. This is not a replacement for a gas driven blower.

I have this. It does work and it works pretty well. I used it all last winter. Get a heavy duty extension cord.

WEN looks like it has plastic auger by the pictures. The home depot one has steel. If I didn't already have the snowjoe, I would go for the 15a powersmart one from Home depot.

I have a 2 stage behemoth for the days we get tons of snow. Can't really use it on the deck though. Would a single stage be ok to use on a wood deck?

So the homedepot one is steel and $20 cheaper!

Thanks.

There's also a tax free 13-amp powersmart model for $69. [amazon.com] Although I got it for around $60 after 5% back on my Amazon CC and 6% cashback through T0Pcashback, I would have gone with the 15-amp you just linked had I known about it.

My 1993 Honda HS621 single stage keeps blowing year after year while all the other two stage behemoths in my neighborhood seem to want to break down when they are most needed. It's not the number of stages, but rather how it's built that matters.
