Walmart has Samsung Gear VR W/ Controller 2017 (SM-R324NZAAXAR) for $50 in-store YMMV. I think this is a good deal, I bought one. It shows discount on their site as "in-Store Only" price if available. 1st post, apologies for any mistakes.

good price, note this is the SM-R324 which is discontinued and does not support the Note 8. You need the SM-R325 for that

This would gave been good 4 years ago. Now it's a dust collector. Vr has evolved way beyond using your phone.

Not necessarily. With Riftcat and VRidge, for people who can't afford a full VR set, this is a perfectly viable, albeit limited, option.
