From $180 ... ($299 and then 40% off)

Find the Breedlove that's right for you at:

https://reverb.com/sales/manchest...dlove-sale

I was impressed by these prices and thought I would pass along. I love Breedlove and thought some of you on here might enjoy this sale. I don't know much more about it other than it was in my Reverb feed today.
Comment please if you find a guitar you like. All the prices look pretty competitive to start with and so having the 40% off is nice!

Some of the models are B-Stock (or refurbished), but I would't let that scare me off if there was one I liked since they are factory reconditioned. But others look brand new, with solid tops (at least) and in many cases, solid back wood construction too.

Breedlove guitars have a cool truss system under the bridge that keeps the bridge affixed. Having had a bridge come off a guitar recently due to low humidity, I can say that this is a nice feature that I wish I had in a couple of my older guitars. They also have pinless bridge systems which are something that some people say improve tone and make changing strings easier.

Looks tax-free for most of us and $35 shipping. Again, prices are good. Hope this helps someone!

Good deals for sure, and Reverb is always gives you a really smooth transaction.

These are likely all foreign made, you're probably thinking of the USA breedloves (which do still exist).

I bought a new Pursuit Concert CE in mahogany not too long ago on a SDotD for $319. I was disappointed with it at first. It has a quality feel, but with caveats. The satin finish mahogany looks odd, like a sticker veneer, even though it's solid. The painted logo was a little crooked, which drives me nuts in an OCD way. Also, although the action is pretty low, I still have a hell of a hard time playing it cleanly. Bars are nearly impossible for me as a semi-beginner (about a year of playing) on the Breedlove. The controls are inside the sound hole, which I didn't expect, and the battery is velcroed inside the body. It's a fairly heavy instrument for an acoustic.

In contrast, I bought a Seagull Maritime SWS dreadnought shortly after. It plays like butter. Beautiful, easy chords and bars, and a fantastic sound. Light weight, all solid spruce with mahogany back and sides.

I don't doubt the quality of the Breedlove, and I'll come back to it after a lot more time on the Seagull, and my brother actually prefers it. Here's a noodle:

I had a Breedlove briefly when I dropped my Seagull on the garage floor and made the top.. well, "explode" is the word I would use (don't underestimate the power of the string tension!). I believe it was the Passport D250, so a couple of steps above the cheapest Breedloves. I must say I was very disappointed with it. Sounded very muted to me - not just the tone, but also the volume.. it was like playing with earmuffs on.

This looks like a great deal in terms of the discount you are getting, but it's not a product I would buy again (I'm only talking about non-USA-made Breedloves).

Just today I wash shopping for this very model (Pursuit Concert CE). I've played guitar on and off for 30 years and always loved Breedlove's unique concert body shape. And, in years past, I remember them playing as well as Taylors and Martins.

Not any more. Not this model and not even their higher end models (at least not at the GC I was at).

Chonea is exactly right: Playing the instrument is much harder than it should be.

A $200 Yamaha FS800 is a far better -- though not as sexy looking -- instrument.

This is not a thread-cap. I love guitar deals. Keep 'em coming OP

Perhaps the qc standards of the Asian made guitars have deteriorated recently. I bought my daughter the white Concert Pursuit acoustic electric a few years ago that she still gigs with. Everyone who asks to play it can't believe that it isn't a USA made Breedlove.

I was just speaking about the Asian Breedlove quality control. I actually enjoy some of the cheapo Yamaha guitars from China.

I too adore Yamaha. The make quality instruments, even in China, because the Japanese own the entire factory there. I'm told that the Yamaha reps say to dealers: "Its not where the guitar is made, but WHO made it." I also hear that they listen to dealers and customers and make the changes and keep quality always high. I dig that!

Well, the owner and founder went back to working for Taylor, for starters. Wink

Thanks man! I'll try and keep them coming as I can. Hopefully, a couple will even go FP... Slickdeals tends to catapult the Adorama deals since they pay for the boost. Yes, that's how it works people.

Not a great deal . .the pursuit concert sitka/bubingas are on ebay now for $350 w/free shipping. Amazing fit, finish, quality & sound for this pricepoint. Most any guitar, even a $4k Martin, will likely need to be setup/adjusted at initial purchase.
