Yeah I was thinking that too... even tho this is a fairly low end TV by today's standards. Small screen, no Dolby vision, not an OLED...

Last tv i purchased was about 5 years ago and i paid 800 +tax for a 55 in led samsung. Back than this was a frontpage deal......

Better question is why aren't cell phones getting cheaper.....

I got the UN55MU6290 for $399+tax at Target. Which is basically the same model but without bluetooth & you get the cheaper remote control. So this is a OK deal, but not a Slickdeal.

But that's how it should'be, it's just a TV after all. I remember before there were high def flat panels, the only expensive TVs were those huge 60"+ CRT rear projection TVs. You could get a 27" CRT TV for a little over a hundred dollars. Which is what most people had in their living rooms & a 32" was considered a ghetto big screen TV. I remember getting a 19" with a built-in VCR for my bedroom for $109+tax.

I got same model for $289 from best buy after price matching with Walmart. BTW, Mu6290 does have blutooth chip. You can activate that by going to the service menu.

Exactly, but I guess some are a little bit at least. I mean, you could get a $399-$499 smartphone with flagship specs nowadays. However, the big brand flagships from Sammy & Apple are actually getting even more expensive.($1000 iPhone X/Galaxy Note 8)

I agree. Not Slickdeal. Especially after purchasing LG 49" 4k (49UJ6200) for $149 two weeks ago!

I remember looking at all of the settings menus & I didn't find anything saying to activate bluetooth features. But I'll check again & hopefully your right. Because I just assumed since that was the only difference between last year's KU6300/KU6290 that it would'be the same for this year's models.
