Got one of the yellow ones b/c it has a/c adapter.

Checked Fakespot on it and it gave it an F. They said their rating was old so I ran it again and it got and A.

Clearly wouldn't want to use it in a school but I'm hoping okay for occasional home use.

Back in my days, these were attached to walls and we had to crank it with a lever.

What year did you go to school when this was the norm?

Same here, but why bring that up now?

Lol I'm amazed that this little thing has a motor good enough to sharpen a pencil.

And I was hoping someone would one up me and say something like "Back in my day we had ink canisters attached to the wall so we can do calligraphy." LOL

Yes. It's electrical but you have to manually put the pencil onto the sharpener. Big Grin

I bought one of these about 3 months ago. So far it's pretty great. The sharpener part is metal and does a great job sharpening quickly without chewing up the pencil. We use it daily and it's still on the first set of batteries. I would prefer to have a corded one so it doesn't walk away from the homework station but for less than $8 I can't complain.

Here is one more up: Back in the day I had to grind the ink for my script pen. My fingers were all black and my pages were smudged.

In other words, like every other electric pencil sharpener.

Bought 4...1 for my son and 1 for my daughter and the other 2 for backup after they lose or break them.
I'm sure they'll bring them to school and let their friends use it.
Got the T1 version since it has a better blade, even though they state the other one is an upgraded version. The upgrade version has blades like the cheap manual sharpeners that you hand twist on pencils. The T1 has the blade like the old time hand crank sharpeners that were mounted on a wall or desk that lasted forever.

Don't waste your money on this - its pretty weak. I returned one back just 3 days ago. The blade struggles to spin with the pencil inserted for sharpening.
