One is a handheld stem and one is a traditional upright so depends on what style you want.

I've never owned a Dyson, as they are tough to find on clearance (and that's the only way I buy my appliances). However, after looking at both models, I would say the Origin is the "better" model (for me, at least). I hate cords, but I make an exception when it comes to vacuums as I prefer more power which leads me to believe it provides better suction.

I'm also the kind of person that once I start vacuuming, I'm going to do the whole house. I'm not sure the V6's battery could provide enough juice to do every room.

So...to answer your question, it's probably completely up to your personal preference.

You're welcome. It's also worth noting that target.com has the Dyson Origin on sale for $199.99 right now. As for the V6, target's website says "See low price in cart" but won't let me add it to cart even though my store has it in stock Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

i live in a 2b2b apartment, so i chose the V6.
Dyson v6 IS THE BEST I EVER USED.
The suction is very strong, it works great at both hard floor and carpet.
And you can make it as a handheld to clean your table sofa and bed.Plus the car
The normal mode is enough for daily use.
If you want to go deeper, you can press the MAX BUTTON. Then the suction will beyond your image.
but the battery only lasts about 7 minutes, i am sure it will get shorter if it lasts for 2 or 3 years.

so If you live in an apartment, V6 is good enough.
If you own your own house, you better choose V8
To me, V6 V7 V8 are different in the battery.

They linked me at Fremont. They only sold it for 202 or so. I even showed them brickdeal and they wouldn't price match.
Lol. Rofl.

How does this compare to shark deal on meh.com that was recently on FP?

My wife's been wanting a corded model for a couple of years, but we never pull the trigger on any deals because we can't make sense of the model names and differences to compare reasonably...

Balls, small balls, big balls, animal balls, fluffy balls, multi-balls, cryogenic balls, allergy balls (they like balls I guess.) Then some models have numbers - 65, 75 something like that... Confused

I own the cordless and it is the only kind I will ever own now. I can even begin to describe how awesome it is...especially with two toddlers making messes all day.
