Fake. Not bright enough to be called true HDR.

Is this the same exact thing as the S2418HX model?

Two things:
- unlike the S2318H that has low-haze coating (which is almost glossy), this one has traditional anti-glare (matte) surface. While I can't stand the reflection on low-haze, it does give out deeper black and slightly sharper details
- if you need color accuracy (e.g. photography), you're likely will have to turn off dynamic contrast (and thus the pseudo HDR).

Anyway, among the monitor brands, Dell has very good reputation in term of quality. Dell website also list this model with 3-year warranty. At least Dell lists all the tech specs out accurately, unlike Acer, I can't find any specs on gamut.

I personally have an Asus Z249H, an LG 24MP60VQ-P from Costco, and a few Dell at work (P2217H, P2415H). After calibrating and profiling with DisplayCal and ColorMunki, the LG has 98% sRGB, while the Asus and Dell can only get to 93%.
