Thanks for the heads up. I don't have an Apple Store near me, so this is a great alternative!

I would not use this.

Employees probably won't know or won't care about what they're doing and will probably pop the backlight filter for the 6S or take off a few caps near the battery connector for the SE. They're probably using bottom of the barrel components for the replacement too.

Go to a reputable repair shop. They'll probably replace your battery for around the same price plus they'll know what they'll be doing and their parts will be better (but this depends on the shop - that's why you gotta to a reputable one)

I was at the Apple store today for a replacement for a 6 plus and was given a mid-March timeframe for the battery to come in.

I had a 3rd part battery installed in my 6s, later took it to an Apple Store to get a real one, and they said they would not work on my phone any more, at all, for any amount of money.

You're downvoted but I completely agree. The 6S and 7 have water resistant seals on them, and they're not replaced by 3rd parties when they do open up the phones. Considering Apple is offering a repair at a similar price without voiding your warranty, I don't know why people just wouldn't go the Apple route.

When I work on 6s and newer, every phone gets a new seal before I button it back up.

My wife has a 5S, I will probably do it myself. For many people like me, there is NO Apple within 300 miles!

Need to find a similar price that is valid on the regular 5. Have one I want to replace battery on and turn into emergency kid phone but totally not worth it to pay more than $30 on fixing such an old phone.
