$4.99 with Super Eggsaver (4-7 bus. days) instead of $109.00

I was skeptical for the price but I ordered one and it works great with Windows 10 and Android. I did not try with an IOS, nor did I try DLNA or USB play.

It does what I wanted it to do (mirror my screen wirelessly across the room with sound) and unlike chromecast, you do not need to be connected to the internet for it to work. Even better, when mirroring via miracast, you can be connected to your wifi and broadcast your screen to your HDMI compatible screen. The unit does get a bit hot to the touch but it does not seem to affect it.

Lol, I like the Q&A it has.

"Q: Why did you choose this?"
"A: Cheap! If it doesn't work, I haven't lost much."

So this does work as advertised? Can't find anything else online about it and don't particularly need it, but wouldn't mind having a couple of these lying around for when the situation arises if it would only cost $10.

Yeah this looks kind of sketch/vague based on the description. Here is the manual for it, which contains a lot more information of how it delivers what it promises in the description.

https://fccid.io/2AA4J-W6M2130813...al-2120839

What I got from it before I stopped reading:
Quote :
Compatible with: IOS system, Android ver. 4.2 and above, Windows system including XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7 and Windows 8
You have to install apps to be able to get content from your device to the screen, so its not really true screen mirroring.

If you have a device that supports Miracast, then you will may be able to truly screen mirror.
It lists the following
Quote :
Current Miracast-certified supported devices. Nexus 4, Butterfly S, New One, S3, S4, NOte2, Galaxy 10.1, Xperia Z, Xperia ZL, Xperia T, Xperia TL, Optimus G, Optimus G pro.
But for the price, it could be worth the risk. Also, I don't know anything about this company, maybe someone can chime in. You never know [cyberscoop.com]!?

Apple does not to support the Miracast standard on iOS or macOS, instead using its own older proprietary peer-to-peer AirPlay protocol.

By 2017, ComputerWorld observed that "Miracast never quite caught on as a standard", with the Android operating system having dropped support in 2015 already.[4]

They are getting rid of 10 year old tech junk. Your'e better off giving $5 to the homeless guy at the street corner. Don't waste your time on more crap that ends up in a box.

There are tutorials online that show you how to check if your PC supports miracast. It is my understanding that all windows 10 platforms support it. When using miracast, it is very easy to mirror the screen and sound and the 1080p definition is very decent and with nearly no lag. I was quite pleased with the results. I especially like the fact that I do not need to be connected to my internet to make it work but I still can browse the internet and broadcast what I browse with miracast (e.g. Netflix). We do not have internet at home, so no need to tether the phone to a pc to watch a movie on the big screen, just play it directly from the android phone which mirrors to the big screen.

I have not used DLNA but that is supposed to work with IOS.

I mainly bought it as a solution to broadcast wirelessly from my HP X2 my PowerPoint to the screen (podium has HDMI) and also use the touchscreen of the X2 with the smart pen to draw sketches (virtual whiteboard). I could not find a cheapest solution for what I wanted to do and this thing works great for that. Now, I can walk all around the room with my X2, lecture and do demos on a virtual board! For $5 buck, I am extremely pleased.

Here is a good link about miracast: https://www.pcworld.com/article/2...ur-tv.html

I guess I am lucky my cell phone supports miracast. That was pure luck here.
