Four Pound Plus Chocolate bars at Trader Joe’s, $10

Hey all.

I was at Trader Joe's in Katy, TX this afternoon and noticed the GIANT "4 Pound Plus" chocolate bars marked down to $9.99.

Dark and Milk chocolate.

Yes it's not "the best" out there but it's quite decent. For < $2.50 a lb, it's a steal... even if only for baking.

I've developed a "chocolate buying problem" lately.

My wife and I agree that we would start going to church again if they ever put a Trader Joes' here in sleepy little Lancaster, PA. Instead we got Aldi's. Just not the same. <muffled sobbing>

TJ's Pound Plus chocolate bars are made for them in Belgium. Quite nice. Great deal at $2.50/lb.

Sorry. I couldn't figure out how to upload pics via the mobile app. Pics added!

(also the categories in the mobile app are different than the website)

Dont knock off Aldi. I have found most items are at a 30-50% discount to even discount retailers like Walmart and Target. Aldi is awesome and is not as huge as it deserves to be because Americans are brand whores and didnt like the downscale vibes of the store - thankfully Aldi has realized and has spent some money on the decor to make it more "upscale-ish". Its prices are dirt checp even compared to Best Value and Market Pantry store brands.

Try the chocolates in Aldi. Buck 50 a bar and you will never touch Hershey's again.

Well Hershey is horrible chocolate to begin with so I would need a comparison to something like Ghirardelli nod

I bought 1 of these earlier this week and my wife keeps complaining how I'm trying to make her fat.

Aldi and Trader Joe's owned by same people you realize? German brothers.

Why Aldi has surprisingly good european imports like chocolates.

And it all started because the brothers couldn't decide whether to sell cigarettes in their stores and they split the company in half over it.

So they split the Aldi world in half and the brother who doesn't have North America bought Trader Joes.
