Will give it a try. Even though almost same mounts are for same price on ebay.
This one has metal pieces and amazon delivery and hopefully return policy.

I'm a little hesitant to try this on my motorcycle; I don't have a windshield.

The rubber tether strap should keep the phone on. I have a Ram Mount X-Grip and its the rubber tether that actually keeps the phone secure. tested up to 120mph on my naked bike.

120mph sans windshield?

I've got a cruiser so I'm never going that fast, but I don't have a windshield so going even 50, the buffeting feels like it could knock this around...

I'm on a Ducati Streetfighter S. 70-75mph is the sweet spot for comfort. Yes, 120mph indicated without a windshield. I've had it to 137mph gps verified on the track. I really have to hug the tank at those speeds or I feel like a sail.
