Seems like a good deal for an 8th gen i7 in a laptop that people like. I'm sure some will complain about only refurb or 8GB Ram, but seems good at this price point.

I'm seeing 6% on the cash back site. Where are you getting 8?

This actually does look like a really good deal, considering the 8th gen chip.

Any experience with Dell refurbs? Do they have issues or are they fine? I need my laptop to last at least 4 years.

I just purchased an Inspiron 7000 13" with same specs but 16gb of ram from BB open box for $775. Should I return and get this?

Look up reviews for it. It shouldn't be very different from the previous gen considering the architecture didn't change, just the core count. It's still a 15w processor so unless the battery capacity changed it should be very close to last years.

I have the xps 13 refurb from one year ago. Still going strong. There was a scratch on the bottom of the laptop which I don't care for.

I've bought several dell refurbs. If you use it regularly and there is an issue, Dell will send a tech to your house to replace whatever part. One of the refurbs I bought had a faulty motherboard and Dell tech replaced the board for free. I was without a working computer for a few days but the money I saved was worth it.
