If your looking for a case, they are limited. This is the one I use and it works well: https://www.zteusa.com/blade-case . Be sure to use code 50%OFF to get it for $6.49 with free shipping.

Just got this phone last week. Works perfectly on tmobile. Phone is super snappy. Battery life is amazing. I can get two days with heavy usage. Quick charge is fast. Camera is pretty good for what it is. Does come with marshmallow. Not stock android but you can download Google launcher or nova. Thumb print unlock is super fast. This phone also has nfc. Reason why i got this phone. Android pay works great. The phone does come with a setting that kills all background apps in 15 minutes. So if your using Spotify it will kill the app in 15 minutes, unless you disable the power saving features. Overall this phone is an awesome buy. Only downside is finding a good case. Only case I found is the official zte case. Case isn't bad. But it's not that great. Phone does great on 5ghz wifi also.

I guess this is old news, but it is enough for me to want to look elsewhere.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe it has been confirmed this phone will not get a Android 7 or 8 update?

Anyone with smarts can tell me how/if this would perform on Metropcs?

Should work fine. Gsm network (T-Mobile based), gsm ready phone, pop in the Sim card, you're ready to go.

It works on T-Mobile so as long as it's unlocked it should work fine. I would call them to verify just to be sure.

Nope. But is running a recent security patch, Nov or Oct 2017. Also has some nice small tweaks to stock Android. Solid full featured phone for $139 with free headphones.

I tried to plug it into their "Is your phone compatible" search here https://www.metropcs.com/shop/pho...0214639998 and did not see it. This is odd, since they use the T-Mobile network and this does work great on T-Mobile (full VoLTE functionality, including band 12).

For those on T-Mobile it appears Volte works on band 12 but no wifi calling.

I don't have any smarts but it should be fine on Metro. The two big Metro ZTE's (Pro and Blade) are pretty good too if ya don't mind walking around with a tablet stuck to the side of your head.

Pop in your sim card, call customer service and give them the IMEI then you're good to go.
