Once you go electrics you will never go back. Teeth feels so much cleaner.

The previous series would trap water under the head and unless you cleaned it regularly you would be horrified when you saw the mold that grows unde there as a rssult. This new does nit have that problem. This new one definately has a smaller head than the old but I am not sure that it bad, just means you have to move it around more, this new one also starts out at a lower speed unpon first use and each day gets a little faster for the first 10 days of use or so. This is a feature to acclimate new users and I suspect that people tha don't read the manual make their comparison between the old and the New based on the initial speed of the new model, not the normal speed of the new model, hope that helps.

Are you talking about cheap replacement brushes? What do you recommend? They seem expensive to me (even the off brand ones), but then again, this is my first electric tooth brush.

Anyone else get a weird irritation by the vibration? Maybe it just reminds me of dentist visit.

It works great, seriously good, but, honestly, I only use it 4 days of the week because I'm having a hard time adjusting.

I read on here that people think this is not as good as the original essence, the one with the larger brush head screw cap. Opinion is this is not as powerful.

Some things you just never buy open box. Lol. This is one of them. Soap would be another.

For brushes keep a look out for when they go on sale at Costco. Costco sells them cheaper than dental providers can get them with their industry discount from Phillips.
