100% TLC. Doesnt matter though, youll never burn one out. I got a 512GB mx200 with 15TB written to it (torrent drive). Still says 98% life.

most drives like this one (including samsung evo) is rated for 75-100TB. sounds small, but let me know when you WRITE 75,000 GB. not gonna happen under 10years.

Review of the 1TB version of this drive from Anandtech. Basically, it's all that except for power efficency. But even then it's good.

In all honesty, with this price range you could probably buy the better Samsung 850 EVO 500GB.

This is crucial brand new drive mx500, does some things better than 850 Evo but about equal. The 1tb version was released 1st a few weeks ago, this is the release of the 500GB.

Samsung is rumored to have a new drive coming soon

hoping better pricing coming soon

Good SSD, but $5 off is not a slick deal.
Nevertheless thanks for sharing OP!

Will never ever buy Crucial MX SSD drive again - had 3 SSDs a few years ago, all three failed within 2-3 years with exactly the same symptoms - it just started with intermittent glitches and BSOD-style screens here and there and eventually computers with those stopped booting at all.
Never had any issues with Samsung and OCZ SSDs I replaced those with.

Not a huge sample obviously, plus those were SSD models of 3-4 years ago, but they looked exactly the same, so no go for me just from the superstition point of view lol.
