This is the lowest price it's ever been. Thanks OP. People who thumbed this down are nuts.

Agree. This is a good price and I would buy it but know it would take me forever to get through it.

Thank you for posting OP.

I buy two 1/2 Gallons from these guys https://collinsvermontmaple.com/s...aple-syrup once a year. I am originally from VT and choose to support a local seller vs Amazon (plus Amazon already gets $1000's a year from me anyways)

The cost is $1 cheaper but gotta add in shipping. Which is why I just buy bulk.

Depending on where you grew up, actual Maple syrup was regular syrup for pancakes and waffles. Get the Amber, it's sweet, the kids will still enjoy it.

Actually, if you go to the 1 gallon page it's cheaper and they will still ship you two half gallon containers.

After tax, would only be $0.50 more than ordering from Amazon for me. Not to mention more of the purchase price goes to a family business.

I'd contact them with any questions, I'm sure they'd be happy to help.

This link sounds like you're only getting Maple syrup to me.

I could be mistaken, but that might be a marketing gimmick. Most Pure VT Maple Syrup doesn't have any additives. So if it comes straight from the tree then boiled, not sure how much more organic it can get.

Very astute point. Organic has become more of a monoply of organic "certifiers" who got in on the ground floor back during the term becoming a legally binding term. Instead of the FDA doing the certification they de facto contracted it out with the producers paying the costs. It has become one of the most abused certifications I know of.

Of course the term "natural" has no real legal definition, so it's abused even worse than "organic." The best defense is people thinking about it when they buy something, like your post. I'm low on maple syrup, and it's one of my few glycemic splurges so I may as well make it count. Big Grin
