Depends on how you look at the ratings. Rtings lists it as their alternate choice for their best pick 48-50" TVs, and it's listed 3rd in their list for that size. It's also much cheaper than the two TVs rated better than it. If you move up to 55", there are more better rated, but the M55 is listed as the best budget 55"

The E50-E1 is the much better series though isn't it? Also hate that the Vizio models do "smart tv" by casting only via your phone's apps. Very annoying workaround that I'm sure people buy without realizing what it means... False advertising smh, almost got me last month

No, M is > E. For Vizio, the farther down the alphabet you get the better the tv gets... so D<E<M<P<R, with D being mostly crap, and R series being the holy (unaffordable) grail.

I believe you can still use your other devices. At least I know you can use Apple TV. Are there devices that don't work?

Oh no, you can plug in all streaming devices but they have models listed as smart tvs natively (meaning they come with streaming apps installed) however, those versions are only smartcast via your phone. Sorry i wasn't clear

Bought this deal from Dell. Attempting to submit Chase Price Protection with a Sam's Club ad to bring it down to $498 + tax + $200 GC.
