anyone got one that can shine some light on how they liking it??

I'm in the market for a dash cam, but idk if i should just wait for a 4k one to go on sale or not. I'm not sure if license plates are very visible on a 1080p one

I don't own this. But I would say don't wait too long. An accident could happen any day. I'm just guessing here but I bet that most accidents are your basic "he hit me", "no he hit me" kind of thing. Even the most basic camera will settle that argument. I still have a five year old G1W and my wife has a much newer VIOFO A119. I feel both would protect me well enough.

doesn't look like it's better than Yi dash cam that I got last week for $36 with 1080 at 60 fps. I would wait for Yi dash cam or different one.

I think Yi cam is 120 degrees vs 177 degrees on this one. But Yi also has wifi

1080p should be enough; I'd be more worried about the 30FPS. Find one with 1080p at 60 FPS or a 2K version. 4K is unnecessary and at any reasonable frame rate will fill a memory card pretty fast.

I worry that the dashcam will settle the argument, but not in my favor.

So before hitting any car, make sure they have no dash cam installed. Lol

In that case I recommend you save your money! (Oh, and stay away from me when I'm driving...)
