I've never flow LOT before, and reviews online look horrific... anyone with any experience? I even read that they don't offer complimentary alcohol on international flights, if that's true it's a deal breaker!

I went to Italy for my honeymoon last year and rented a car. Got 3 speeding tickets according to Europcar with more possibly on the way. I received the first one in the mail two weeks ago, $180 photo ticket for going 5mph over. I've been driving in California for 17 years and haven't gotten one ticket. I have a newfound appreciation for California, and will most likely not be returning to Italy any time soon. Don't really enjoy taking a train everywhere

Lot is a good carrier... Most transatlantic flights are on dreamliners. Much better than Lufthansa IMO.

Insane deal!

I would skip Venice and tour Poland instead.

I was there for 3 weeks last summer and absolutely loved it.

Spent 2 weeks in Italy, 4 days in Venice and it was complete pain in the as... Completely overrated.

How do they enforce the ticket once you are back in the states? Do they block your passport from reentry in case you want to go back?

More than double the price to fly out of Houston so this is a good deal!

Not a joke post; you've apparently never flown international flights before? 100% of my international flights (50+ at least) have had complimentary alcohol....

I flew with LOT for my Christmas vacatin to Europe. Very bad experience.

There is no complimentary alcohol on overseas flights except (crappy Polish) beer.

Also they didn't let my wife on board because of a mistake in the name. She has two family names in her passport (hers - mine) but only mine was on the reservation (with Orbitz). We ended up paying for a second ticket. Frown

Nope. They would turn you in to a debt collector in the US.

I researched the crap out of what would happen if I didn't pay, basically they turn you over to a collection agency called Cedar Financial in Calabassas and they harass you and put an outstanding debt on your credit report, effectively hosing you by reducing your credit score by 50 points, all for going 5mpg over. If anyone wants to chance driving in Italy watch out for boxes like these [google.com]

Had one of my worst experiences flying with airline. When things get delayed they do not handle these situations appropriately compared to Lufthansa for example. I am a polish citizen
