The "90" designation (6290, 6490) indicate that it is version of the 6300 or 6500 that is missing a few features. I have no idea why they did this as the difference in price is usually around $50. The 2 features that I know are missing from the model above it (in this case the 6500) are the One Remote and the Bluetooth audio (think wireless headphones or wireless sounbar or satellites). In my opinion, those are very important features. I own last year's flat model (KU6300). I like the TV as a master bedroom TV. It has great smart features and can get very bright. The TV has more glare than usual and black levels are OK when configured correctly. Like anything else, you get what you pay for. As a Samsung fan, I think the MU8000 is the sweet spot for value this year and is a much nicer TV if you can afford. Otherwise, I'd hold out for the 6500.

https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/samsung/mu6500 Seems "meh"
However, it is meh on a site the reviews mostly higher end TVs. As a videophile (this is my hobby), this is certainly in the middle tier of TVs and carries the Samsung name, quality and performance. It would be the nicest TV you could buy at Walmart, for example. All those TVs at Walmart are rarely on rtings with the exception of the Samsung 6 series, the TCLs and maybe a nicer LG. I have a KS8000, owned a Panasoinc ST series, and many other TVs. I have zero issue enjoying content on this TV when retiring to the bedroom in the evening. It gets bright, can achieve good contrast, has a very uniform panel, and has excellent smart features.

That's the thing though ain't it that the cheaper 55P607 has better reviews than thing.

The same TV is cheaper at Wal-Mart right now. $498 plus tax in Ga puts it at $527 with site to store pickup

I've also seen mixed reviews but I have watched and looked at them side by side and it seems to me, and this is just my opinion, I don't see anything better about the curved screen. I thought it would be great, I even bought the LG G Flex 2 because of the curved screen and honestly side by side the LED flat screen seemed to have a better viewing angle and just looked better from every view except straight on. So if it's only you watching it, lol, the curve would look better. Gotta a family, then not so much...the price is great though

Just picked up the 6500 for $529 with tax at Meijer a few weeks ago, then got $150+$50 back to spend at Meijer. Tv is nice overall, apps load fast, smart remote is nice, speakers are nice. Curved screen is prob over rated, I really could care less.

As for these 90 series, ymmv on entering the service menu and enabling Bluetooth. You can find instructions on the web
