Pretty damn small capacity to call it whole house. A bit deceptive?

Unless you live in a 300 sq ft tiny home, this is not a whole house humidifier.

Reviews seem decent. Does this require distilled water? I didn't see anything about a filter in the product description.

The description says medium rooms, so not quite a whole house lol

One of the Q&A says it has a washable filter, but it's still not clear if that's actually the case

I'm dumping 6 gallons of water in my humidifier a DAY and it's barely making a dent, 1 gallon will do nothing

If it's ultrasonic I would think you'd have to use distilled water unless you like white chalky mineral dust all over your house. I would think the ones that use cool air over a wick or sponge could get away without distilled though.

What size is your house? I'm in MN with inside temps at 70ish and outdoor 0F average. Outdoor humidity wanders around 70% and indoor has been low 20s. If I simmer some water I get indoor to about 30% which is about right but only go though about a gallon per day. House is about 2500sq ft.
