Bought this last week. Seems to be a good build quality. I bought this for a smaller dog (weiner dog) but it seems a little too big for a dog that size.

I bought this one from a Slickdeals post on the 3rd. It's the same thing and was the same price then. I just came in from getting dragged 2 miles by my 75 lb boxer mix. He works it really hard and it has taken the punishment well.

This is going to be the same comments from the deal last week.

With a properly trained dog that doesn't dash or bite on the leash, these work fine.

I've used retractable leashes before and I bought this one last week for $7 and the build quality seems good. Definitely don't use with a leash-biter or a dog that will dart after animals.

These are not as strong as a heavy duty leash, nor do they have the leverage ability, but they work great in most situations assuming your dog is properly leash trained.

Most of the haters last week were from people who had dogs that would dash near traffic, near other people, or bite on the leash. This is common sense, don't use this leash if your dog does that. nod

The code listed for the blue doesn't work. But the code listed for the black works for both colors.

My boxer mix pulled too, until I got a martingale collar, highly recommend.

I got this last week, it is very sturdy and looks solid, I have an 8lbs aussiedoodle and the metal clip is a bit heavy but that is not a shortcoming of the product. Good buy.

You are exactly right. In addition to training, good etiquette should be used with retractable leashes. If you are walking the dog, lock the leash at a length where the dog stays close to you so that you don't wrap it around other people's legs.
There are folks that would like to to see these banned from areas like the Atlanta Belt Line project, and it is because people are being inconsiderate when they are around a lot of people. Lock it in these situations!
