You don't know what you're talking about so leave the advice to those in the know. One of the biggest advantages of the Garmin compared to the Fitbit HR (other than the built-in GPS) is that you can CLEARLY read the Garmin in direct sunlight. This makes a huge difference, especially for runners.

Long answer short: wrist-worn HR monitors are not medical devices and are not at all designed to be used to diagnose severe medical conditions. If you're already high risk or have reason to believe you may be experiencing heart problems, you should be talking to your cardiologist and probably wearing a Holter monitor. Expecting a wristwatch to detect something like a flutter is simply unreasonable and irresponsible. And believe me, if your heart is beating at an unsafe level while you're just going about your day as normal, you'll know. You don't need a buzzing watch to tell you that.

If you're a healthy adult, a watch can give you the broad strokes to let you know that things generally look fine. If you see numerous unexplained spikes in your heart rate, then you can talk to your doctor about it.

Not sure which Fitbit this person is referring to, but I used to have the Fitbit Charge HR and I hated the fact that I couldn't actually wash it. I sweat heavily during workouts and the Fitbit would get pretty gross. I now have this very Garmin and love the fact that I can rinse it off under the sink each day.

Good price! But when I add to cart the coupon doesn't get added - any idea what the code is?

I have the non-gps version. Not sure if it's worth to upgrade. But I love mine. It can last for 2 weeks if I shut off the heart rate monitor.

For the hr+? Doubt it. The + is important.

No reason for concern since Garmin backs these with the same 1-year warranty as new units. I bought a refurbished HR last year and it looked and worked like it was brand new. It's also really, really, really more durably constructed than my old Fitbit.
