Is this considered a high or low temperature glue gun?

Trying to decide if this is $11 better than my $3 dollar general hot glue gun. The $3 works, just takes a couple minutes to get hot.

Way better gun here with 100w, variable temp and interchangeable/replaceable tip:
https://www.amazon.com/BSTPOWER-T...B012FCDBJ2 ($17)

I bought if from here for $12:

I have that gun, I bought it for my IT techs for a project we had to do last year. It IS a good gun, but, I did have to completely take it apart twice to clean out the glue that oozed down into the trigger mechanism, preventing it from being squeezed in order to get it to work. The first time took me about an hour, the 2nd time only about half hour since I knew exactly what was causing the problem and how to get it all part. The man hours I spent working on it I could have bought a much more expensive gun.

I'm at a loss here, why is this gun a deal at 15? Doesn't seem any different from the other guns available at the same price or less.

use a torch to speed up the process. Just have it heat up that metal tip. Than the electric can take over to keep it hot. Peace

I'd say medium high. I have a similar model to this, but it's selectable from 60-100w. I mostly use it at 60watts, but start it at 100w to get it heated faster. There is a worlds of difference between 60watts and those little 20watt or less glue guns.

The glue will properly melt and become more liquid and have a bit more working time than those craft glue guns. I don't fear the glue that comes out of the 20watt glue guns and a bit more careless if it gets on unintended surfaces as it easily peels off. The heat from the glue is bearable if it gets on your fingers. Slightly hotter than candle wax.

These higher watt guns, respect it and protect what you don't want glue on. Especially your fingers, it not only burns intensely, but that increased working time I previously mentioned also translates to increased burning duration too.
