Amazon has the Anker Zolo Halo Bluetooth WiFi Speaker - Works with Alexa for a low $39.99 + Free Shipping. This normally retails for $109.99, so you're saving 63% off with this deal. The Zolo Halo IMO is a better deal than the current Prime deal for the Echo Dot since you get a better speaker for the same price.
  • 5W speaker and bass port deliver exceptional sound quality
  • Voice-activated Alexa functionality with over 10000 life-enhancing skills
  • Simplified WiFi connectivity, can link up to 6 Halo speakers at a time
  • Halo works as a stand-alone high-fidelity bluetooth speaker aswell

OP, this has never been sold for more than $51 on Amazon per camel^3. Please don't include phrases like "This normally retails for $109.99" as these comparison prices are made up.

Sonos is definitely a better speaker. This is not in that same class. This is really a budget level Alexa-enabled speaker with a little more oomph for your money.

How does this compare to the Echo or Echo Dot? Is the voice recognition as good and are there any limitations?

seems decent. reviews are good on amazon. but I feel like it will never get a software update and the nice thing about the dot is that its often updated. with the xmas season prices being so low, I'm sitting on a couple extra Dots and Home Minis already.
