Are these good? I've been looking for a nice thick duvet cover like the one I got a few years ago from west elm

These "Designer living" bed sets are always on sale. They always get mixed/mediocre reviews.
If you're not particular about your bedding, then you'll likely enjoy them just fine. If you want a "nice" looking set for the seldon used guest bed, then they're probably a good fit.
But personally, I don't like the quality or comfort level of them for my every-night sleep.

Thank you. I was wondering about the quality. I have bought too many "good deal" comforters. Only to throw them away because they didn't make through the wash. I will pass. Sometimes you get what you pay for.

I agree. Some look decent, but they are polyester, and not very luxurious. I use them for a guest bed.

Agreed, Polyester is not good unless you live in an extremely cold environment. It will give you skin problems, hot sweaty sleep, and you basically bake in your own juices. Only buy cotton or forget it. Huge life comfort and health differences. I'm a polyester victim of over 35 years so I know.

Actually the bedding brands, like Madison Park, are not limited to Designer Living. They are one of many retailers that sell them. For instance, I loved the look of one [designerliving.com] for my dd and could not get it in time for Christmas from Designer Living so I bought from another retailer. So far, I loved the quality and so does she. But you can search online for both prices and reviews from other retailers. Generally Kohls, BB&B, Overstock (and more) carry several. Ones via Amazon generally are Designer Living thru Amazon. Here is a search of web for the Merritt Duvet set [google.com], for example (its not perfect but its an idea).

Designer living sells EXCELLENT quality sets. I personally own 3. My son has a set on his bed and i got a set for my brother for xmas. So i have bought 5 different sets from them now in the past 6 months at different times.

Not all are polyester and we use ours as our daily sleepers and love them. My sons set is his favorite he has ever had. He is 16.

I have had sets from walmart, kmart, big lots, tjmaxx, ross, macys, Kohls, bb&b that i paid anywhere from $30 to $176 for and my set's from dl are my favorite. Dl has a customer for life here. You cant beat there sales. Cash back sites usually offer another 6% off and you earn dl points for every purchase that take money off your next order.. My last purchase was a 7 piece cotton comforter set King size that i paid $22.50 for after sale price, cash back, and my dl points from previous orders.

You really need to try them for yourself and then make a desicion. Also look at past threads on this forum. You will see other members who have been converted to dl..

I live in an extremely cold environment and can attest to the fact that polyester beddings are the absolute worst! To be clear — polyester bedding is bad in any environment!
